Seniors Inc. is a Colorado nonprofit organization created in 1969 in response to a growing elderly population and the lack of a coordinated service delivery system. The organization began serving the elderly of Denver in a one-room basement office donated by the Gates Rubber Company with an annual budget of $25,000.
In 1969, our staff included one executive director and two senior volunteers. More than thirty-five years later, Seniors Inc. has become Denver's premiere aging service provider and a $5 million statewide organization serving over 5,500 people in 21 Colorado counties. We have achieved our status not simply by surviving, but by consistently becoming better. We are positioned to face the challenges ahead for our aging population through the provision of new and exciting ventures. We want to be forerunners in leading Colorado's older adults toward health, productivity and a future that is unlimited in its possibilities.
