Through a grant from the Denver Regional Council of Governments, Seniors Inc. offers free help to Arapahoe and Denver County seniors in two different ways.
Homemaker Service
The Seniors Inc. Homemaker Service aims to assist residents in maintaining their independence in a safe and comfortable home environment. Services provided by Homemakers include light housekeeping such as doing laundry, changing bed linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming, and other general light cleaning in the home. We can also help to organize your belongings, prepare meals, and sort through mail.
Services are usually provided on a bi-weekly basis for up to 4 hours at a time. In cases of great need the program manager may approve weekly visits depending on availability of funds. Periodic visits are made by the program manager to determine continued eligibility and to provide information.
Caregiver Support
Through this program, individuals who are providing ongoing care for a family member or loved one may apply for relief help from Seniors Inc. This is a chance for you to get away from your caregiving duties and take some time for yourself. Our care provider can assist with light housekeeping as well as companionship, conversation, reading, taking walks, and meal preparation.
Services are usually provided on a bi-weekly basis for up to 4 hours at a time.
