The May issue of LeadingAge Magazine will feature an article
about the "greening" of aging facilities. The article spotlights
the new environmentally-friendly headquarters of Total Community
Options (TCO), a family of nonprofit organizations including Total
Longterm Care, Seniors Inc, Johnson Adult Day Program, Total
Community Care, Pinewood Lodge and Longterm Care Options.
TCO recently consolidated the operations of four locations to
its new headquarters. The 45,000 square foot facility uses 25
percent less office space and significantly reduces operating costs
by increasing energy efficiency with sustainable building
materials. The savings from "green" construction and operation
allow more funds to be spent on programs and services.
