Who provides free yard work services for seniors in metro Denver?
The Denver County Sheriff's Department offers free yard service to low-income seniors who cannot afford to pay a fee. The Sheriff's Department determines when service visits will be made. To get on the list please call the Seniors! Inc. Help Line at 303-300-6912.
Where can Colorado seniors find employment training and placement assistance?
The following organizations offer assistance to seniors looking for work:
  • AARP - The WorkSearch Program offers interest and ability inventories, skill assessments, and connections to local training and employment opportunities all at no cost to job seekers. Please contact Jeremiah Mora at 303-764-5986 or by email at jmora@aarp.org .
  • 50 Plus and Fabulous - A service center for mature job seekers that offers workshops, one-on-one assistance, a resource library, and internet access. Phone: 303-636-1173 www.adworks.org

Where do I report suspected elder abuse?

Colorado Adult Protection Services

The identity of a person reporting concerns about an at-risk adult to Adult Protection Services is confidential. If reports are made in good faith, there is no liability to the reporter should the investigation determine that there was no mistreatment or abuse.
